How do I apply for a place on a training course or seminar?
We now have a new Booking on process which offers the following benefits:
- There is no booking form, simply go to our course login page (initial login appears as NCC My Learning My Career Page) , where you will then be directed to the NSCP page where you will be able to access all of our face to face events and our E Learning.
- After the event you can complete an on-line evaluation form and then print off the course certificate yourselves, at any time.
- You will be able to view your own Training Record to see what NSCP training you have attended/E Learning completed and when.
- You will be able to cancel your place yourself if unable to attend and re; book onto another event.
So what do I need to do?
You need to have a Learning Pool Account.
If you already have an account
If you have already accessed our E learning (since May 2018) you will have an account , so just need to login as usual and you will see all our Face to Face & E Learning courses. NCC staff – can access all of our courses via My Learning My Career. If you are unsure if you have an account or not please e mail us and we can check this for you.
If you don’t have an account
You will need to create one. Create an account.
Click on Create new Account ( green bar) . You then need to complete: your e mail address/set up a password and insert your organisations Registration Key (please email email@example.com for your organisations key code). Then please click More Details – you ONLY need to complete Managers Name/phone/ email in this section. Then click Request Account .
You’ve then done - It only takes a few seconds!
How will I know if I have a place on a training course or seminar event?
You will be sent an initial email confirming your request of your place immediately. 2 weeks prior to the event you will receive a further email confirming your place.
Can I attend without having applied for a place?
Places on training courses will be allocated to those who have applied through the correct process
Do you provide lunch?
No, the NSCP does not provide lunchtime food or refreshments. Where possible events are held at venues where provision can be purchased on site or nearby. Delegates are able to bring food with them.
What should I do if I can no longer attend?
Go into your Learning Pool account. Click on My Learning, click on my classroom bookings, click on course name, click on title just below purple box, go to date you are booked on and under options on the right hand side select cancel booking and select yes to confirm.
The NSCP reserves the right to charge a £40 fee for places cancelled with less the 24 hours before the start of the course and for non attendance at events this does not include weekends and also will the charge will stand which relates to sickness.
Will I get a certificate?
You will need to go into your Learning Pool account and go to the event you attended, complete the evaluation form to enable you to print your certificate and also gain access to the power point presentation.
Do I need to bring anything with me to the event?
We may provide pre -course reading which would be available on the event page.
