NSCP Gas and Solvent Use Training Level 3
This event is delivered by Re-Solv, a gas and solvent use charity, and aims to clarify what gas and solvent use is, and also considers the products used, methods and effects, including gases, aerosols, nitrous oxide, poppers, glue, and more.

Objectives
Understand the dangers of gas and solvent use and sudden death
Identify substances that may be inhaled and common methods of use
Discuss prevalence and reasons for use including short term effects
Recognise possible indications of use, distinguishing between occasional and chronic use
Discuss mortality statistics and the associated dangers of use
Recognise the importance of assessment and the need to overcome stigma
Effectively manage incidents and explore best practice for prevention, harm-reduction and treatment
Target audience
Staff who are involved in working directly with children, young people or adults of whom may be involved in risk taking behaviours such as substance misuse.

Please note non-attendance charges are applicable to everyone, so if you find you are no longer able to attend we do require 24 hours’ notice otherwise your organisation will be charged. You need to cancel your registration - failing to do so will incur a non attendance charge of £35.
