Training charges

We provide multi-agency safeguarding children training events and e-learning for people whose work is primarily based within the county of Nottinghamshire.  

The following charges for Nottinghamshire-based staff sets out whether you will be charged at the point of accessing training:

  1. Nottinghamshire County Council staff - No charge (covered by annual partnership contribution
  2. NHS provider organisations and ICB staff providing services in the county - No charge (covered by      annual partnership contribution)
  3. Police staff providing services in the county - No charge (covered by annual partnership contribution)
  4. Partner organisations that contribute to the partnership (typically through national funding arrangements – National Probation Service) - To be allowed free training places up to the value of their contributions for staff providing services in the county
  5. Partner organisations that do not make an annual partnership contribution - Charge at point of access   (this would include for example, all schools, District and Borough Councils, Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service, CAFCASS)
  6. Private non-profit organisations, including community interest companies and community benefit          societies - One free place per setting per year (for Designated Person/Safeguarding Lead) on each course. Course charges apply for any additional places
  7. Voluntary/community organisations/charities with a turnover below £150,000 - Free
  8. Private profit-making organisations - Charge at the point of access

If applicable (New charges from April 2026):

  • Face to Face events – A Full Day event costs £70 and a Half Day event will cost £45 
  • On-Line/MS Teams events –A Full Day event costs £45 and a Half Day event will cost £35 
  • For example - Events - Part 1 =£35. Part 2 = 2 £35. WTSC = £35

Non Attendance

Non-Attendance charge – Please note non attendance charges are applicable to EVERYONE. It has increased to the same charge as the cost of the event. So for most people who attend half day on teams it will be £35 unless at least 24 hours' notice of cancellation is given (this excludes weekends). This charge will still apply if non-attendance is due to sickness.  

eLearning charges

Below you will find the revised eLearning charges by organisation group listed in the previous section:

  • Groups 1, 2, 3 and 4 - No charge (covered by annual partnership contribution)
  • Groups 5, 6 and 7 - up to 50 licences to be charged at £300.00 annually from April to April or pro rata 
  • Group 8 - £35 per licence per year.
