Safeguarding Children eLearning and resources
eLearning courses offer you and your organisation a valuable learning opportunity in relation to safeguarding children at an introductory or awareness raising level.
You can find free and low cost eLearning below. Although we cannot formally endorse or guarantee its quality, all modules have been selected from government or recognised national providers, including reputable organisations like Virtual College and the NSPCC.
Introduction to safeguarding children eLearning
Introductory courses are vital when you start working in a safeguarding children role. They clarify what your responsibilities are, help you consider the different types of abuse, and how to recognise and respond to it. If you don't have an internal course, these courses may be useful for you to consider.
Note: for the above, the more modules purchased, the cheaper they are.
Safeguarding children in Nottinghamshire - additional local information booklet
If you choose to access any of the introductory courses or other subject matter courses, we recommend that all staff also read our local information booklet [PDF]. It aims to supplement the generic safeguarding eLearning modules by providing the local context to safeguarding children in Nottinghamshire, for example, the Nottinghamshire Safeguarding Children Procedures, including support services and where to make referrals.
