NSCP Safeguarding Children at Risk of Neglect Level 3
This full day course will help participants to develop their understanding of the impact of neglect on the lived experience of the child. It will consider strategies for working with families with complex needs; assessing risk and working towards effective interventions. It will also increase awareness of current research and tools for assessing neglect, including the Nottinghamshire Neglect Toolkit. This is a full days course and is being delivered face to face ( you must be able to attend both morning & afternoon session if you book onto this event). Refreshments will be provided on arrival, mid-morning and mid-afternoon. You will need to bring your own lunch as food is not available to purchase on site.
Aims:
- To help participants to develop their understanding of the impact of neglect on the lived experience of the child.
- To consider strategies for working with families with complex needs; assessing risk and working towards effective interventions
- To increase awareness of current research and tools for assessing neglect ( including the new Nottinghamshire Neglect Toolkit) within the legal and procedural context
- Develop skills in professional judgement relating to assessment of need and risk and be able to support capacity for change
- Develop effective strategies for working with families within a multi-agency framework

For all practitioners who work directly with children and families.
Course Charges:

The charge will be £40.00 if you do not.
