Adopted young people's residential for 10 to 13 year olds
Course date: Tuesday, August 19, 2025We are excited to announce upcoming residential opportunities for adopted young people aged 10 to 17.
This residential event is for 10 to 13 year olds and will take place from Tuesday 19 August to Thursday 21 August 2025 with a preparation day on Tuesday 5 August 2025. Young people are required to attend the preparation day in order to participate in the residential.
We are pleased to share that we have secured a larger venue for the residential, allowing us to accommodate needs more effectively. However we are unfortunately unable to increase the number of places available due to funding constraints and the needs of those who may be attending.
There will be an assessment process to determine the eligibility of the young people to attend the residentials. This process will utilise a combination of criteria informed by the funding requirements of the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme and our residential policy guidance. Please see the briefing for parents document attached to this event for further information.
To register your young person's interest in attending the residential please complete the residential application form. Once we receive the completed form we will assess each application as quickly as possible and inform families if a place has been granted. We kindly ask for your patience as we assess each application individually, which may take some time.
The opportunity to apply for the residential will be open until the end of the day on 31 May 2025. Following successful applications families will then be required to register on an online portal called Eequ which will necessitate the completion of consent forms.
We are committed to being as transparent as possible throughout the process of hosting these residentials and look forward to providing a rewarding experience for adopted young people.
